Overview of Kang Yong Electric

Kang Yong Electric Public Company Limited was established on January 12, 1964 by Mr. Sitthiphol Phodhivorakun, with an initial registered capital of THB 10 million, under the name Kang Yong Electric Manufacturing Co., Ltd. The Company was founded as a Thai–Japanese joint venture between the Phodhivorakun family group and “Mitsubishi Electric” , with the objective of manufacturing and distributing household electrical appliances under the “Mitsubishi Electric” brand. In 1993, the Company was approved for listing on the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) and converted into a public limited company, adopting its current name, “Kang Yong Electric Public Company Limited” under the stock symbol “KYE.” At that time, the Company had a fully paid-up registered capital of THB 220 million, comprising 22 million ordinary shares with a par value of THB 10 per share. On September 12, 2019, the Company reduced its registered capital to THB 198 million, equivalent to 19.8 million ordinary shares.

At present, the Company operates its head office and manufacturing facilities on a total land area of 73 rai, 2 ngan, and 23 square wah, located at 67 Moo 11, Theparat Road, KM. 20, Bang Chalong Subdistrict, Bang Phli District, Samut Prakan Province 10540, Thailand. The Company manufactures and distributes household electrical appliances under the “Mitsubishi Electric” brand, including refrigerators, electric fans, ventilation fans, and water pumps. The Company operates under licensing agreements and utilizes production technologies provided by Mitsubishi Electric Corporation, Japan, which is also its joint venture partner.
